Evansville, Ind. - The Lewis University men's and women's swimming team competed in the GLVC Conference Championships this week at the Elkhart Aquatics Center. The competition took place from Feb 11 (Tue) to Feb 15 (Sat). Below are the results from Friday's competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED
500 YARD FREESTYLE
On the women's side,
Do Dingshoff (Hoogeveen, Netherlands/Roelof Van Echten College) placed fifth in the preliminary round of the 500 yard freestyle with a final time of 5:06.08 to qualify for finals.

Amelia Marsicek (Centennial. Col./Regis Jesuit) posted a time of 56.15 in the 100 yard backstroke while
Morgan Vis (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) also picked up a fifth place finish with a time of 2:09.01 in the 200 yard butterfly.

On the men's side,
Colin Bade (La Grange Park, Ill./Lyons Township) posted a time of 48.62 in the 100 yard backstroke to qualify for finals.
