Hammond, In. – Lewis University STUNT came up just short in a competitive 21-17 match up against Ferris State University on February 14.
Ferris State built early momentum in the first quarter, taking a 3-0 lead before the Flyers responded in the second. Lewis found its rhythm midway through the meet, earning key points across multiple routines to cut into the deficit and trail by just six at halftime.
The Flyers continued to battle in the third quarter, matching Ferris State's intensity and keeping the score within reach heading into the final frame. Lewis made a late push in the fourth quarter, but Ferris State was able to hold its advantage and secure the narrow victory.
Despite the loss, the Flyers showed resilience and consistency throughout the meet, keeping pressure on the Bulldogs until the final routine.
Hammond, In. – Lewis STUNT bounced back later in the day with an 18-11 victory over Quincy University on February 14.
After a back-and-forth start to the first quarter, the Flyers began to take control in the second, earning crucial points to gain separation before halftime. Lewis carried that momentum into the third quarter, executing clean routines and building a steady lead.
In the fourth quarter, the Flyers closed out the meet with confidence, limiting Quincy's scoring opportunities and sealing the seven-point win.
With the result, Lewis moves to 2-2 on the season.
