STUNT Faces Alma and Mercyhurst

Alma, Mich. – Lewis University STUNT dropped a 25-1 decision to Alma College at Art Smith Arena. The Scots established control early, scoring in each of their first-quarter opportunities while holding the Flyers scoreless to jump out to a 4-0 advantage.

Momentum remained with Alma in the second quarter as they added four more points, taking an 8-0 lead into halftime. Lewis continued to battle through each routine, but the Scots capitalized on clean execution to maintain their edge.

Alma widened the gap in the third quarter, extending its lead to 12-0 heading into the final frame. The Flyers broke through in the fourth quarter to get on the board, but Alma closed the meet with a dominant 13-1 showing in the final period to secure the victory.

STUNT also fell 20-11 to Mercyhurst University. The Flyers stayed competitive early, trading points with the Lakers in the opening quarter before trailing 2-1 at the end of the first.

Mercyhurst began to build separation in the second quarter, extending its lead to 4-2 heading into halftime. Lewis continued to battle through each possession, keeping the deficit within reach.

The Flyers showed resilience in the third quarter, putting together a strong five-point frame to narrow the gap to 8-7 entering the final quarter. However, Mercyhurst regained momentum in the fourth, outscoring Lewis 12-4 to close out the 20-11 win.

With the results, Lewis now stands at 2-6 overall on the season.
