Indianapolis, Ind. - After one of his best starts of the season, pitcher Vince Gohlke (New Berlin, Wis.) was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

The Wisconsin native is the first Lewis player to earn any GLVC Weekly Award since George Bilecki (Chicago, Ill./Marist) did so on April 8, 2025. 

In his lone start, the southpaw went 6.0 innings, only allowing two hits and tallying a career-high nine strikeouts in the Flyers 11-0 win over William Jewell on Sunday. 

The Flyers return to action on Tuesday, March 24, hosting Roosevelt University at Brennan Field. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
