Indianapolis, Ind. - For the third time this year, the Lewis University men's lacrosse team swept the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards as
Malikye Good (Windsor, Ontario, Canada/St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic HS) was named the leagues offensive player of the week while
Dylan Kendrick (Chanhassen, Minnesota/Chanhassen HS) earned the conferences defensive player of the week award.
The red and white previously swept the GLVC Weekly Awards back on Feb. 2 and Feb. 23.
On the offensive side of the ball, Good set a new program record for points in a single game while ending the week with 14 points, seven goals, seven assists in the Flyers 2-0 week. The Windsor native set the program record for points in a game as he had 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists) in the Flyers 30-8 win over Quincy. The Flyers 30 goals were also a team program record for goals in a game. Earlier in the week, he had one goal and an assist to pair with two ground balls in the Flyers win over #15 St Leo.
As for Kendrick, he had 23 face-off wins, 14 ground balls and a caused turnover. The face-off specialist had 10 face-off wins, six ground balls, goal and assist in the Flyers win over St Leo. He ended the week with eight ground balls, 13 FO wins and a caused turnover in the Flyers record-setting 30-8 win over Quincy.
The Flyers return home for a top-10 ranked showdown against GLVC rival Maryville on March 28 at noon.
