BOLINGBROOK, Ill. – The Lewis University women's golf team placed second in the rain-shortened Flyer Spring Invitational at Bolingbrook Golf Club Tuesday (March 31). The Flyers were in first place overnight after shooting a 306 (+18) and came back with a 156 (+12) in nine holes Tuesday to place second.
Maryville won the tournament, shooting a 458 over the 27 holes, while McKendree finished in third place with a 473 total. Elaine Grant of Illinois Springfield won the individual tournament, shooting a 110 (+2). There was a four-way tie for second with a 114, including Lewis'
Kendall Farm (Carol Stream, Ill./West Chicago). The Lewis B team took 12
th with a 522 total.
