Indianapolis, Ind. – After capturing the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship, the Lewis University men's lacrosse team was picked as the fourth overall seed in the South Region in the 2026 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament and will face fifth seeded Newberry on May 10
th in the first round.
Lewis faced Newberry earlier this season on February 22
nd at home and won 15-8. In the win,
Kohl Wesner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) paced Lewis with five goals while
Paul Ruskoski (Tulsa, Oklahoma/Bishop Kelley HS) tied the game-high in points with five (2G, 3A). On the defensive side of the ball,
Logan Suchy (Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota/Simley HS) collected five ground balls and caused two turnovers.
Dylan Kendrick (Chanhassen, Minnesota/Chanhassen HS) won 11 face-offs for the Flyers in the win. In net,
Caden Donahue (Hugo, Minnesota/Mahtomedi HS) made a season-high 20 saves.

This season, the Flyers had a player named offensive or defensive player of the week 10 times, the most of any GLVC school this season. Additionally, the red and whites six appearances on the USILA Team of the Week are the most of any conference school as well. The Flyers were nearly perfect at home for the as they only lost one regular season home contest for the second consecutive year.
Head coach
Joe Perruzzi was tabbed the co-coach of the year alongside Rockhurst's Kevin Kelley. It is the second time Perruzzi was named the leagues top coach as he previously earned GLVC Coach of the Year accolades back in 2024. On the player side,
Carter Korzenski (Orchard Park, N.Y./Limestone),
Paul Ruskoski (Tulsa, Oklahoma/Bishop Kelley HS),
Kohl Wesner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and
Tyler Davis (Edina, Minnesota/Edina HS) were all named to the first team.
Malikye Good (Windsor, Ontario, Canada/St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic HS) and
Michael Trbovich (Columbus, Ohio/Dublin Coffman HS) each landed on the second team while
Caden Donahue (Hugo, Minnesota/Mahtomedi HS),
Zach Ottolino (Lockport, Illinois/Lockport Township HS),
Camden Rappis (Delafield, Wisconsin/Kettle Moraine HS),
Braylon Ray (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) and
Logan Suchy (Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota/Simley HS) earned All-GLVC Honorable Mention.
