Bolivar, Mo. – The Flyers turned in a strong final day at the 2026 GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, securing a second-place team finish with 118 points, just behind the University of Indianapolis who finished with 147 points.
Abraham Christian (Huntley, Ill./Huntley HS) led the way in the field with a conference title in the high jump, clearing 2.14 meters.
On the track, the Flyers dominated the 5,000 meters with five scoring performances, led by Evan Horgan's (Loves Park, Ill./Belvidere North) title-winning time of 14:29.10. Brendon Shea (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) placed third (14:37.50), followed by Gabriel Cates (Purcellville, Vir./Loudoun Valley) in fifth (14:51.08), Jack Roberts (Frankfort, Ill./Lincolnway East) in sixth (14:52.18), and Owen Thomas (Valparaiso, IN/Morgan Township) in seventh (14:56.25), securing valuable team points.
Brian Holmes (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North HS) earned a runner-up finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.88. In the sprints,
Cagini Pilgrim (Castries, Saint Lucia/) placed fourth in both the 100 meters (10.65) and 200 meters (21.38).
The 4x100 relay team added to the scoring effort with a fifth-place finish in 41.42.
