Allendale, Mich. - The Lewis University men's and women's track and field team had their final tune-up before the GLVC Track and Field Championships at the GVSU Weekend Meet where multiple individuals and relays set NCAA marks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
For the second consecutive weekend,
Levi Graham (Plainfield, Ill./Minooka) set a new school record in the hammer throw as he finished with a distance of 66.78 meters. His throw also ranked in the top-10 nationally as well. Elsewhere off the track,
Aubrey Brinkman (Mapleton, Ill./Illini Bluffs HS) placed third and set an NCAA mark in the discus (46.42 meters). She was not the only Flyer to perform well in the discus as
Olivia Cox () placed first in the open division with a final distance of 43.74 meters.
At the pole vault, both
Malaina Telschow () and
Brynlee Keeran (Catlin, Ill./Catlin HS) finished with a height of 3.61 meters.
Abraham Christian (Huntley, Ill./Huntley HS) set an NCAA mark and placed third in the high jump with a height of 2.05 meters in his final meet before the conference championships.
On the track, the Lewis 4 x 400 relay team of
Kamile Bickute (), Jessica Flowers,
Olivia Pastovich (Aurora, Ill./Kaneland) and
Rebecca Cravedi (Piacenza, Italy/) finished with a final time of 3:59.70 and placed first as well. On the men's side, the 4 x 400 relay of
Kamari Rush (),
Cagini Pilgrim (Castries, Saint Lucia/),
Brian Holmes (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North HS) and
Adrien Manning (Shorewood, Ill./Minooka) also placed first and edged out Division I competition from schools such as Purdue Fort Wayne with a time of 3:15.12.

The Flyers are back in action from April 30 - May 2 at the GLVC Track and Field Championships, held by Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo.
