2008-09 Highlights: Academic All-GLVC selection and Delahanty Award recipient, given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence...defeated Nebraska-Kearney[apos]s Noriaki Naruso (5-7, 6-4, 10-7) at the Upper Iowa Invitational (Sept. 13)...claimed the 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (9-0) win over Illinois-Springfield[apos]s Patrick Callahan at the Flyer Fall Classic (Oct. 11)...in doubles action, paired up with Chris Thomas, for the 8-2 win over Saint Joseph[apos]s Ben Kalinowski and Miguel Belcina at the Upper Iowa Invitational. 2007-08 Highlights: Used season as redshirt campaign and will retain four years of eligibility. Prep/Personal: Three year letterwinner for Plainfield Central at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles...two-time Southwest Prairie All-Conference selection...qualified for the IHSA State Tournament as a senior...helped the Wildcats to Southwest Prairie Conference championships as a sophomore and senior...three time selection to the Honor Roll and made the Dean[apos]s list twice...son of Steve and Barb Mauer...major is elementary education.
