Biography

2016 Highlights: Appeared in 24 games, including 11 starts....was second on the team with a .394 batting average...went 3-for-3 with two RBI and scored a run in a 7-5 win over Drury (April 24)...had two hits, two RBI and scored a run in an 8-5 loss to William Jewell (April 17)...recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team.

2015 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...started in 13 of the games she appeared in…averaged .225 with nine hits…hit a RBI single to capture the victory over Gannon (March 6).

2014 Highlights: Appeared in 41 games, including 32 starts...led team with .368 (28-for-76) batting average...drew a team-best 15 walks and led squad with a .473 on-base percentage...had six games with at least two hits..went 2-for-3 with two RBI and scored a run in an 8-0 win over McKendree (March 23)...collected a pair of hits in a 4-3 (8 inn.) win over Southern Indiana (Apr. 5)...garnered two hits in a 5-0 win over Missouri S&T (Apr. 18)...went 2-for-2 with a RBI and scored a run in a 7-5 victory over UW-Parkside (Apr. 22)...recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team.

2013 Highlights: Missed season due to injury and will retain four years of eligibility.

Prep/Personal: Four-year varsity letterwinner for Naperville Central...served as team captain during senior campaign...batted .444 with 38 runs scored, 16 stolen bases and seven RBI on her way to Daily Herald All-Area and All-DuPage Valley Conference accolades...selected to DuPage Valley Conference Honorable Mention All-Area team in 2011 after batting .354 with 25 runs scored and 15 stolen bases...as a sophomore, batted .310 with 20 runs, 12 stolen bases and 11 RBI...member of DuPage Valley Conference Academic All-Conference teams in 2009 and 2010...served as the Editor In Chief of the Senior Yearbook Committee...competed for the Bulls/Sox Academy (2008), Stone City Sharks (2009-10) and Homer Hawks (2011) during the Summer...daughter of Brian and Debbie Kappelman....elementary education major.
