David Delahanty award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence...appeared in 26 matches, including 24 starts...ranked second on the team in kills with 183 and kills-per-set with 2.54...recorded 10+ kills in eight matches...had a season-high 15 kills in the MIVA Quarterfinal match against Purdue Fort Wayne (Apr 14)...had a season-high two assists vs. King (Mar 3)...had a season-high 12 digs against Fort Wayne (Mar 22)...had a season-high four block assists against Ball State (Mar 24).
2017 Highlights: Named as an AVCA and VolleyballMag.com Honorable Mention All-American...selected to All-MIVA First Team...named MIVA Offensive Player of the Week after hitting .449 (42 kills, 7 errors, 78 attacks) in a pair of five-set wins over No. 15 Penn State (Jan. 20) and St. Francis (PA) (Jan. 21)...recorded a career-high 27 kills and hit .478 (27-5-46) in win over St. Francis (PA)...selected as Sports Imports / AVCA Player of the Week and MIVA Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 4.43 kills-per-set, hit .431 (31 kills, 6 errors, 56 attacks) and 1.17 blocks-per-set in wins over No. 13 Ball State (Apr. 6) and Fort Wayne (Apr. 8)...earned Academic All-MIVA accolades...started all 29 matches he appeared in...recorded 18 matches of 10+ kills and four matches of 20+ kills...led team with 355 kills and was second on the squad with 3.18 kills-per-set...notched a match and career-high 27 kills in five-set win over Grand Canyon (Jan. 27).
2016 Highlights: Academic All-MIVA selection…AVCA All-America Honorable Mention…MIVA Freshman of the Year…All-MIVA Second Team…named to 2016 Off the Block Freshmen All-America Team...played in 30 matches with 27 starts….notched 21 kills and seven digs at Ohio State (March 5)…added 20 kills, six digs, and four blocks at Loyola (April 20)…totaled 18 kills and two aces vs. Quincy (March 18)…recorded 20 kills vs. Grand Canyon (Jan. 30).
2015 Highlights: Used this season as a Redshirt Campaign.
Prep/Personal: Guided Minooka to a 38-3 record as a junior while helping them to their second-straight appearance in the Illinois High School Association State (IHSA) Tournament...played club volleyball for two years with Ultimate Volleyball Club and took 17th at Nationals this past summer...son of Larry and Patricia Perinar...business major.
