2015 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...appeared in 18 games with seven starts…brought in a run against Illinois Springfield (Apr. 4).
2014 Highlights: Appeared in 38 games, including 26 starts...12 of those appearances came within the circle, including six starts...batted .218 (17-for-78) with six RBI...was 1-8 as a pitcher with a 5.50 ERA...struck out 19 batters...earned the complete-game, nine-inning victory over Notre Dame College (March 5), allowing one earned run and striking out three...had two-hit games against Indianapolis (March 29), UW-Parkside (Apr. 22) and UIS (Apr. 27)...picked up RBI in victories over Georgian Court (March 2), Dominican (March 3) and McKendree (March 23).
Prep/Personal: Four-year varsity letterwinner for Trinity...four-year All-Conference selection and a three-time selection as one of the Top 100 softball players in the state of Illinois..three-time selection as Trinity's Most Valuable Defensive Player...selected as Team MVP and named to GCAC All-Conference Team as a senior, after she batted .505 with nine homers, 29 RBI and struck out 154 batters in 153.1 innings pitched...helped Trinity to the regional and sectional championships in 2012...three-time All-State Honorable Mention selection...as a junior, batted .460 with three homers, 36 RBI and also was 24-7 in the circle with a 1.25 ERA and 179 strikeouts in 179.1 innings pitched...went 21-3 with one save and a 1.98 ERA with 88 strikeouts and batted .494 with two homers and 38 RBI as a sophomore...was 25-6 and fanned 98 batters to help Trinity advance to the IHSA Class 3A State Championship game...daughter of Steve and Ruth Machain...major is nursing.
