2016 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team…carded a NCAA Privional and first-place finish after recording her personal best time of 35:57.6 in the 10,000-meter run at the Cougar Invitational (April 23)…claimed another 10,000-meter run title (36:45.81) at the GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 7)…placed second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:01.13 at the GLVC Conference Championships (Feb. 28).
2015 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...claimed a runner-up and NCAA Provisional finish of 36:50.38 in the 10,000-meter run at the GLVC Outdoor Championships (May 1)…nabbed a victory in the 5,000-meter run (18:39.92) at the Benedictine Twilight Invitational (Apr. 25)...finished second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:40.08 at the GVSU Early Bird (Dec. 6)
2014 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...earned a NCAA Provisional mark in the 5000 meter run (17:34.14) at the GLVC Indoor Championships (Feb. 28)…ran a leg of the victorious distance medley relay (13:01.8) at the Lewis Open (Jan. 10).
Prior to Lewis: Competed for Southern Illinois...set a personal-best time of 18:48 in a 5K race in cross country as a freshman.
Prep/Personal: Three-time state qualifier and team MVP...won the conference cross country championship as a senior...claimed All-State honors in indoor track as a senior in both teh 3,200-meter run (4th place) and 1,600-meter run (7th place)...ran personal-bests in both the 1,600-meter run (5:21) and 3,200-meter run (11:26) as a senior...competed in swimming as a freshman where she was named 'Rookie of the Year'...member of the National Honor Society and Dean's List and also an AP Scholar...daughter of Diana and Charles Hershfang...Athletic Training major.
