David Delahanty Award – given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team... competed in ten meets... finished in the top three seven times through five meets... finished first in the 200 yard freestyle (2:18.56) against Valparaiso (Jan. 21)... recorded a personal-best in the 100 yard breast stroke (1:08.99) and the 100 yard butterfly (58.90) at the House of Champions Invitational (Nov. 18-19)... recorded a personal-best in the 100 short course butterfly (1:08.70) and the 200 short course butterfly (2:33.82) against William Jewell (Dec. 4)... recorded a personal-best in the 100 yard individual medley (1:04.85) in the Illinois State, Illinois Wesleyan dual meet (Sep. 30)...recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.

2015-16 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award – given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...recipient of the Divison 2 ADA Academic Achievement Award…picked up a victory vs. Valparaiso in the 100 butterfly (1:02.35) (Oct. 3)…took second in the 200 IM (2:14.37) at Grand Valley State (Oct. 24)…won the 100 fly (1:00.37) at Rollins (Jan. 4).

Prep/Personal: Earned four varsity letters in swimming at Notre Dame High School…named all-state and all-district all four years…as a junior, 100 butterfly champion…as a sophomore, 200 IM champion…as a freshman, 500 freestyle and 200 IM champion…Dean’s List student…swam for Crawfish Aquatics…daughter of Edwin and Shannon Simar…biology major.
