Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner for Brother Rice...averaged 18 points and six rebounds as a senior to help the Crusaders to both the Chicago Catholic League and Regional Championships...for his efforts, he was named the Chicago Catholic League Player of the Year, All-State Second Team, All-City Second Team, Chicago Sun-Times All-Area, Southtown/Star All-Area First Team and Regional Newspaper Player of the Year...scored over 1,150 points for his career...also competed for Chicago Lockdown AAU squad...son of Charles and Therese Niego...father Charles (men's basketball) was inducted into the Lewis Hall of Fame in 1997...three other Niego uncles and aunts all played basketball at Lewis...major is business.
