Romeoville, Ill. - After an eight-day layoff, the Lewis University men's basketball team returns to action on Monday (Dec. 19), as the Flyers (6-2) welcome Trinity Christian to Neil Carey Arena for a 7:30 p.m. showdown. Monday's contest will serve as an exhibition for the visiting Trolls.

Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield), left no doubt on Saturday (Dec. 10) night, as they scored 27 of the game's first 32 points on their way to the 79-53 non-conference win over Olivet Nazarene at Neil Carey Arena.
1,000-POINT CLUB - With his 19-point performance against Kentucky Wesleyan on December 3rd, senior guard
Chris McClellan (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Wheeling) eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career. He enters Monday's contest with Trinity Christian with 1,041 points.
ON FIRE - McClellan has been hard to stop over the Flyers' past three games, as he is averaging 19.3 points-per-game, while shooting 70.4% (19-for-27) from the field and 66.7% (8-for-12) from three-point range. In the Flyers' 80-66 win over St. Francis (Ill.) on December 7th, McClellan posted a career-high 27 points on 9-for-10 shooting, including a 6-for-7 outing from beyond the arc.
LESS IS MORE - Since the 2009-10 campaign, Lewis is 12-4 (.750) when taking less than 50 shots-per-game. Since
Scott Trost's arrival in 2006, Lewis is 18-11 (.621) when they take less than 50 shots.
HONORING HIS BROTHER - Junior guard
David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.
DOUBLE-DIGIT QUARTET - Saturday's game against Olivet Nazarene marked the fourth time this season where the Flyers had four starters finish with at least 10 points. Lewis accomplished that same feat five times for the entire 2010-11 campaign.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Lewis connected on 7-of-14 of their three-point attempts in the 80-66 win over St. Francis (Ill.). The Flyers are 21-7 (.750) since 2006-07 when they knock down at least 50.0% of their three-point attempts (min. 5 made).
CLOSE CALLS - During Trost's career at Lewis, the Flyers are 25-24 (.510) in games decided by five points or less, which accounts for 31.8% of the 154 games he has coached in.
