Joliet, Ill. – Lewis University freshman Jack Pedersen (Arvada, Colo./Ralson) won the St. Francis (Ill.) Fall Classic on Tuesday (Sept. 10) with a score of 71 as the men's golf red squad won the event with a total of 298. Lewis' white team finished in 13th (329).
 
The Flyers played the par-71, 6,196-yard Inwood Golf Course.
 
Senior Dan Petrarca (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) took second at the tournament with a score of 72, while freshman Matt Stoner (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) finished in eighth after turning in a 75.
 
Junior Eric Lederman (Downers Grove, Ill. /Montini Catholic) shot an 80, while senior Alex Fried (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet Catholic) finished with an 85.
 
For the white squad, freshman Ethan Yamada (Arvada, Colo./Ralson) finished in 13th with a one-round total of 76. Sophomore Andrew Slonski (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) shot a 78 while classmate Matt Suenkens (Orland Hills, Ill./Providence Catholic) turned in an 87.
 
Senior Thomas Hearden (Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame) shot an 88 as junior Brandon Bolling (Chicago, Ill. /Guerin Prep) rounded out the Flyers with a score of 89.
