Lewis Women's Track And Field Concludes First Day Action At NCAA Indoor Championships

Farrough (1-mile run) and Marchildon (60-meter hurdles) fail to get out of preliminaries.

Senior Megan Marchildon claimed a personal-record in the 60-meter hurdles on Friday.
Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Lewis University women's track and field duo of senior Megan Marchildon (Ypsilanti, Mich./Lincoln Consolidated) and freshman Amanda Farrough (South Bend, Ind./Clay) failed to get out of their respective preliminary heats in the opening day of the NCAA Division II Indoor Track And Field Championships, hosted by Winston-Salem State, at the JDL Fast Track on Friday (March 14) afternoon.

Marchildon finished 11th overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a career-best and school-record time of 8.62, while Farrough placed 14th in the 1-mile run (5:03.72).

Marchildon returns to action on Saturday (March 15), as she will compete in the pentathlon for the third time in her career. Action is set to begin at 9 AM ET.
