Lewis Men’s Golf Sits In Third At The GLVC Championships

Junior Jeremy Fraser leads the Flyers with a fifth-place two-round score of 143 (75-68).

Columbus, Ind. – The Lewis University men's golf team dropped 16 strokes from their first-round 298 to move from fifth to third-place after posting a score of 282 for a two-round total of 580 on Sunday (April 20) at the 2014 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Golf Championships.
 
The University of Indianapolis leads the 14-team field with a two-round score of 568 (289-279) playing the North and West par-72, 6, 897-yard courses at the Otter Creek Golf Course. The Greyhounds' David Frank leads all individuals with a score of 140 (68-72).
 
Lewis junior Jeremy Fraser (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way North) is tied for fifth and leads the Flyers with a two-round score of 143 (75-68).
 
Sophomore Robert Dofflemyer III (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) is in eighth-place with a score of 144 (74-70) while classmate Alex Thode (Washington, Iowa/Washington) carded a 145 (73-72) to sit tied for 11th.
 
Junior Ryan Frederick (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) is tied for 17th after turning in a 148 (76-72), while classmate Anthony Lodovico (Homer Glen, Ill. /Lockport Township) rounded out the Flyers with a score of 158 (81-77).
 
The Flyers return to the course for the final round of the tournament with a 9 AM tee time on Monday (April 21). The top four teams head into match play on Tuesday (April 22).
