Indianapolis, Ind. – The Lewis University men's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak come to an end, as No. 24 University of Indianapolis earned the 6-3 Great Lakes Valley Conference win over the visiting Flyers at the UIndy Tennis Center on Friday (April 10) afternoon.
With the victory, UIndy improves to 11-3 on the season and 5-0 in the GLVC, while Lewis falls to 11-7 on the season and 4-2 in conference action.
Lewis senior
Armand Levandi (Tallinn, Estonia/Audentese Spordigumnaasiumi) earned two of the three Flyer victories. At No. 1 doubles, Levandi and sophomore
Mate Srdanovic (Split, Croatia/Graditeljsko-Geodetska Tehnicka) earned an 8-6 victory over Christoph Drechsler and Tony Kostadinov. Levandi also added a 7-5, 6-4 triumph over Drechsler at No. 1 singles.
Lewis senior
Erik Aunapuu (Tallinn, Estonia/Audentese Spordigumnaasiumi) and freshman
Andre Norasith (Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) paired up for an 8-4 win over Andrea Morlet and Marco Razo at No. 2 doubles.
Lewis returns to action on Sunday (April 12) for its final regular-season match-up, as the Flyers travel to Lindenwood for a 12 PM first serve.
