Lawrence, Kan. - The No. 13 Lewis University women's track and field team recorded three NCAA Provisional marks, two school-records and a victory to cap off their impressive weekend at the Kansas Relays, hosted by Kansas University, at Rock Chalk Park on Friday (April 17) evening.
Lewis senior
Rebecca Preisler (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville) broke her own school-record and set a NCAA Provisional in the pole vault with a mark of 4.10m (13'5 1/4"). She set the previous standard of 4.05m (13'3 1/2") at the Alabama Relays on March 21st. Flyer junior
Amber Cook (Grayslake, Ill./Warren Township) broke a 14-year old school-record in the triple jump with a NCAA Provisional mark of 12.13m (39'9 3/4"), good for fifth-place. The previous school-record of 39'4 1/2" was set by Vaida Usaite in 2001.

Chantel Stennis (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a NCAA Provisional time of 54.53, while freshman
Keanu Taylor (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) turned in a second-place triple jump of 11.27m (36'11 3/4").

Stephanie Nielsen (Racine, Wis./Case),
Andrea Holm (Plainfield, Ill./Oswego East),
Amanda Farrough (South Bend, Ind./Clay) and freshman
Zoe Mead (Princeton, Ill./Princeton) crossed the finish line first with a time of 12:07.80.

Lewis returns to action on Thursday (April 23), as they travel to Philadelphia to participate in the Penn Relays.
