Des Moines, Iowa -
Lewis University's quartet of James Kaht (Spring Grove, Ill./Richmond Burton), Asher Scott (Fort Wayne, Ind./Snider), Andrew McLain (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) and Shawn Milhauser (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac) shattered a 20-year old school-record in the 4x1,600 relay at the Drake Men's Track and Field Relays on Thursday (April 23) night at Drake Stadium.

They crossed the finish line in 17:22.01, breaking the previous standard of 17:33.62, set in 1995. They were the top non-Division I team in the race.

"It was a tough race," Lewis Assistant Men's Track and Field Coach James Kearney said. "I'm proud of how we stuck in there and competed with some of the best Division I teams in the country."

Second day action at the Drake Relays is set to begin at 9:45 AM on Friday (April 24) morning.
