St. Louis, Mo. - The Flyers delivered a strong showing at the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis, adding multiple all-time marks to the record books across events.
On the women's side, the 10,000 meter duo led the way, as
Josephine Bober (Lockport, IL/Lockport Twp HS) surged to #5 all-time with a time of 35:12.21.
Madilyn Calloway (Rochester, Ind./Rochester Community) followed closely behind, moving to #7 all-time with a 35:36.26 performance, as both athletes hit the NCAA provisional standard.
Katie Melzer (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville) impressed in her 3,000 meter steeplechase debut, moving to #9 all-time with a time of 11:25.22.
Megan Garrett () kept the momentum going in the 800 meters, clocking 2:13.16 to rank #10 all-time.
On the men's side,
Jack Roberts (Frankfort, Ill./Lincolnway East) delivered one of the top performances of the meet in the 10,000 meters, running 30:02.34 to move up to #3 all-time.
Brendon Shea (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) also added to the record book in the 5,000 meters, earning a #9 all-time mark with a time of 14:23.22.
In the field events,
Abraham Christian (Huntley, Ill./Huntley HS) captured first place in the high jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 2.10 meters, while
Levi Graham (Plainfield, Ill./Minooka) took first in the hammer throw with a mark of 61.59 meters, also hitting the NCAA provisional standard.
On the track,
Cagini Pilgrim (Castries, Saint Lucia/) added another first-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking 21.03.
