No. 8 Lewis men's volleyball makes the short trip to Honolulu this week and the Stan Sheriff Center to play in the 22^nd Outrigger Resorts Volleyball Invitational. This is the third time a Dan Friend coached team has traveled to the event. His squads are 2-4 at the event, after a 2-1 showing in 2012 that saw Lewis fall to UCLA in the opener but bounce back to defeat Hawaii and Springfield. All told, it will be Lewis' sixth trip to Hawaii for the tournament.

Long considered one of the most prestigious early season tournaments in the country, the Outrigger has featured some of the nation's best teams with either the defending national champion or runner-up making 19 appearances. Harvard of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association and King (Tenn.) of Conference Carolinas will be making their first appearances.
