Lewis Men's Swimming Wins Two At Indianapolis

Flyers beat McKendree and Bellarmine, but fall to host Greyhounds.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lewis University men's swimming team went 2-1 at the Friday Night UIndy Quad that featured Great Lakes Valley Conference rivals Indianapolis, Bellarmine and McKendree.

The Flyers - behind three second-place finishes from senior Aiden Brennan - beat both McKendree (117.5-65.5) and Bellarmine (135-50), while falling to the host Greyhounds (128-55).

Brennan was a runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.4) and 1,000-yard freestyle (9:50.46). He was also a member of the second-place 400-yard freestyle relay (3:13.02) with redshirt sophomore Mads Knoblauch (Svenborg, Denmark/Svenborg Gymnasium), freshman Aaron Norg (Tilbury, Onterio/Maranatha Christian Academy) and senior Quinn Poti (Orlando, Fla./Timber Creek).

Knoblauch also won the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.39), while senior Brandon Thoman (Marco Island, Fla./Brarron Collier) was a runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly (1:55.95).

All four teams will face off again on Saturday (Nov. 5) morning. The action kicks off at 10:30 a.m. ET.
