CASEYVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis men's golf team finished the Bearcat Intercollegiate Invite with a score of 900 (+36) and finished in sixth place at the Bearcat Intercollegiate Invite hosted by McKendree at Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, Ill.
Maryville University won the team title with a score of 863 (-1) while McKendree's Tobias Lanner was the individual medalist finishing with a score of 213 (-3).
Trey Tussey (LaSalle, Ill.) was the top finisher for the Flyers with a score of 217 (+1) and finished in a tie for seventh. He shot a 75 (+3) in today's third round.
Hunter Pipik (New Berlin, Wisc./New Berlin West) finished in a tie for 22nd with a score of 227 (+11) after shooting a 76 in round three.
Braden Bentley (Colorado Springs, Colo./Mesa Ridge) came in tied for 29th after posting a score of 231 (+15). He shot a 75 in his final round.
Jacob Steinert (Pittsboro, N.C.) finished 31st with a score of 233 (+17) and shot a 78 in his round today.
Jimmy Roach (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) had the low round of the day for Lewis shooting a 74 to finish the tournament with a score of 235 (+19).
The Flyers conclude their fall schedule at the McDonough Cup at the Rio Pinar Golf Club in Orlando, Fla., beginning next Monday.
