HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Lewis men's swimming team defeated Findlay 201-90 in its dual meet at Hillsdale on Saturday afternoon. The Flyers won 14 of 16 events in the dual.
Lewis' 200 yard medley relay team of Guillame Bolivard,
Helio Meggito Pereira (),
Colin Williams (Elk Grove, Ill./Elk Grove) and
Yurii Kharko (Odessa, Ukraine) took first with a time of 1:35.38. The Flyers second team consisting of Diego Saez-Illobre Moliner,
Sumner Latta (Oshkosh, Wis./Oshkosh North),
Jeremy Burbrink (Goshen, Ind./Northridge) and
Thomas Kotel (Lansing, Ill./Thornton Fractional South) took third in the event in a time of 1:42.46.
Star finished first in the 100 and 200 yard freestyle with times of 1:47.38 and 46.60 respectively.
Saez-Illobre Moliner recorded first place finishes in the 200 yard backstroke and 200 yard individual medley in times of 1:55.86 and 2:01.51 respectively.
Williams won the 200 yard and 50 yard butterflies with times of 1:57.25 and 23.39 seconds respectively.
Rhys Taylor (Nottingham, England/National C of E Academy) won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:04.50.
Bolivard took first in the 50 yard backstroke finishing in a time of 24.66 seconds.
Jared Stigant (Edgemead, Cape Town/South African College Schools) finished first in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 27.14 seconds.
Kharko finished first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.34.
Pereira took first in the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:13.62.
Jackson Mugg (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne East) won the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 4:51.18.
The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Kharko, Williams, Stigant and Bolivard took first with a time of 1:25.29.
Lewis returns to the pool next weekend as it takes part in the University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic beginning on Friday.
