Lewis Men's Golf Tied For 13th After First Round Of Findlay Invite

LEXINGTON, Ky. -
After the first day of competition at the Findlay Spring Invite, the Lewis men's golf team sits in a tie for 13th place with a 308 total (+20) at the University Club of Kentucky, a par-72 course, Monday (March 26).

Leading the way individually for the Flyers is Austin Buente (Troy, Ill./Triad), who fired a one-under par 71, which has him tied for sixth place after the first round.

Jack Korzon (Downers Grove, Ill.) added a 77 (+5), which ties him for 52nd, Hunter Pipik (New Berlin, Wisc./New Berlin West) shot a 79 (+7) and Braden Bentley (Colorado Springs, Colo./Mesa Ridge) and Eric Raube (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac Township) each had an 81 (+9).

Individually, Ian Carroll of Indianapolis and Alex Scott of Grand Valley State are tied for the lead after shooting 69 (-3). Indianapolis also leads the team competition after shooting 284 (-4). Grand Valley is in second place with a 291 (+3) and Maryville is in third place with a 293 (+5).

The tournament's second round is scheduled for Tuesday (March 27).
