KENOSHA, Wis. – The Lewis men's golf team finished in fifth place at the Parkside Fall Invitational posting a final score of 611 (294-317). The Flyers finished with two players in the top 10 led by
Jimmy Roach (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) in a tie for fourth and
Hunter Pipik (New Berlin, Wisc./New Berlin West) was tied for 10th.
Roach shot a 75 in round two to finish at +3 for the round and overall. Pipik started the day at -1 after his 71 in the opening round on Monday but shot a 78 in round two to finish with a score of 149 (+5).
Trey Tussey (LaSalle, Ill.) finished with a two round total of 155 (75-80),
Braden Bentley (Colorado Springs, Colo./Mesa Ridge) shot a 160 (76-84) and
Cole Elmore (Salina, Kan.) finished with a score of 172 (85-87).
Luke Trent (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township), competing as an individual, finished in a tie for 25th with a score of 154 (72-82),
Jacob Steinert (Pittsboro, N.C.) and
Colin Borowiak (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) shot scores of 156 (77-79) and 157 (77-80) respectively. Matt Hardin carded a 160 (75-85),
Aser Ruiz (The Woodlands, Texas) shot a 165 (80-85),
Brett Startz (Magnolia, Texas) (88-80) and
Paul Negri (New Lenox, Ill.) (86-82) finished with a score of 168 and
Jack Kamentz (Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert Catholic) shot a 169 (85-84).
Lewis returns to the links on Monday, October 1, when it hosts the Flyer Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Ill.
