ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University men's soccer team hopes to finish strong when it wraps up the 2019 regular season at home this weekend. The Flyers start the regular-season ending homestand with Drury University on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and conclude it with Southwest Baptist on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. for Senior Day.

John Horstman (Godfrey, Ill./Marquette Catholic), midfielder
Timm Adler (Frankenthal Rheinland-Pfalz Germany/Karolinen-Gymnasium Frankenthal), defender
Conor Mohr-Condron (Hamburg, Germany/Oberstufe Foorthkamp) and defender
Claude Kameni (Berlin, Germany/OSZ Gesundheit) will be honored prior to the start of the game on Sunday.
In The GLVC – The Flyers start this week's action tied for eighth place in the GLVC standings with Illinois Springfield and are one game behind Drury for the seventh spot. The top eight teams qualify for the GLVC Tournament with the top earning the right to host a first round match.
Season Leaders – Lewis is led in scoring by senior forward
Jimmy Mwanga (Dublin, Ireland/CBS Lucan) with nine points on four goals and one assist, while freshman forward
Aris Oluwatuyi (Lagos, Nigeria/The International Sports Academy) has eight points on two goals and four assists.
Between The Posts – Freshman goalkeeper
C.J. Couper (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) leads the GLVC with eight shutouts and has a goals against average of 0.65 which is third in the GLVC.
About Drury – The Panthers enter Friday's contest with a record of 8-6-2, 6-5-2 in the GLVC after going 1-0-1 on the road last weekend. Drury and Lindenwood played to a scoreless tie last Friday and then defeated Missouri-St. Louis 2-1 with a goal in double overtime on Sunday.
Lewis versus Drury – The Flyers are 9-6-1 all-time against Drury but are just 1-4-1 in the last six contests. The Panthers won last year's matchup in Romeoville 2-0.
About Southwest Baptist – The Bearcats enter Friday's match at Illinois Springfield with an eight-game losing streak and are 1-14 overall and 1-12 in the GLVC. SBU lost at UMSL 3-1 last Friday and was defeated 7-1 at Lindenwood on Sunday.
Lewis versus Southwest Baptist – Sunday's contest will be the first meeting all-time between the Bearcats and Flyers.
