JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. - The Lewis University men's bowling team finished in 20th place out of 25 teams Sunday (Oct. 6) at the Thomas N. Burris Memorial Kentucky Collegiate Team Classic at Kingpin Lanes.
The Flyers shot a 4,161 in five traditional games and then shot a 2,199 over 12 Baker games for a 6,360 total. Martin Methodist won with a 7,826, while Emmanuel was second with a 7,753 and Marian was third with a 7,697.
Steve Plane (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) led the Flyers with a 911 series, while
Caleb Kirby (/Lincoln Way West) added an 849.
Eric Wesel (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) shot a 671 over four games,
Jawuan Burks (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) shot a 599 in four games,
Matthew Carroll (Chicago, Ill./De La Salle) had a 436 in three games,
Gavin Taylor (Alton, Ill./Alton) rolled a 407 in two games and
Jaylen Williams (Chicago Heights, Ill./Bloom Township) added a 288 in two games. Ryan Lopano of Emmanuel College won the individual tournament with a 1204, with Brandon Magennis of Martin Methodist finishing second with a 1,163.
Lewis returns to the lanes Oct. 26 for the Lindenwood Lions Classic.
