FINDLAY, OHIO – Lewis' women's golf team finished in a tie for ninth at the University of Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday. The Flyers finished the two-day, three round event with a team score of 960 to finish tied with Illinois Springfield.
Kasey Kane (Texarkana, Tex./Texas) had the lowest score for Lewis finishing with a total score of 238 (87-79-72) to finish tied for 36th. Kane shot even par in the final round to move up 26 spots on the leaderboard. She recorded birdies on holes 3, 5 and 18.
Jackie Moreno (Arlington, Texas/) finished in a tie for 44th with a three-round score of 243 (79-84-80). Moreno moved up six spots on the leaderboard after her final round score.
Sarah Breslin (Du Quoin, Ill./Pinckneyville) and
Caiya Dewitt (Zeeland, Mich./) each finished in a tie for 53rd with a score of 244. Dewitt shot back-to-back rounds of 79 after posting a first round score of 86 while Breslin shot an 82 in each of her first two rounds and finished with a round of 80 today.
Morgan McNulty (Belvidere, Ill./) finished in a tie for 74th with a total score of 258 (78-92-88).
The Flyers return to the course on next Saturday (Oct. 19) at the Panther Invitational at Stonehedge North in Augusta, Mich.
