ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Former Lewis University track and field standouts Sergio Miranda and Isaac Jean-Paul will compete at the USA Track and Field Outdoor National meet at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa beginning next Thursday (July 25). Miranda will compete in the 800 meters while Jean-Paul will compete in the high jump.

Miranda qualified for nationals with a time 1:48.01. He is one of 32 competitors in the competition. The first round is scheduled for next Thursday (July 25) at 6:47 p.m. The semifinals take place on Friday (July 26th) at 6:32 p.m. and the finals are slated for Sunday (July 28th) at 6:02 p.m.

The Romeoville, Ill., native was a two-time All-American for Lewis in the 800 meters from 2015-17.

The meet will be streamed on Thursday on NBC Sports Gold beginning at 2:45 p.m.

Jean-Paul qualified for nationals with a jump of 2.19 meters (7'2.25"). He is one of 18 competitors in the competition which takes place next Sunday (July 28th) at 4:35 p.m.

The Gurnee, Ill., native was a five-time All-American for Lewis in the high jump from 2014-16, including a national championship at the 2015 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.
