AUGUSTA, Mich. – Lewis University's women's golf team finished fourth at the Davenport Panther Invitational on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 16-17) at Stonehedge Golf Club - North Course in Augusta, Mich.
The Flyers opened play Saturday shooting a 314 and followed that Sunday with a 313 for a 627 total (+51) on the par-72 course. Grand Valley won the event with a score of 598 (296-302) while Wayne State (Mich.) was second at 615 (+39) and Ferris State was third with a score of 625 (+49).
Kasey Kane (Texarkana, Tex./Texarkana) led Lewis with rounds of 77 and 75 for a 152 total (+8) to finish in a four-way tie for seventh overall.
Kendall Farm (Carol Stream, Ill./West Chicago) added rounds of 79 and 79 for a 158 total (+14), which tied her for 19th.
Sarah Breslin (Du Quoin, Ill./Pinckneyville) had rounds of 78 and 82 for a 160 total to tie for 24th.
Morgan McNulty (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) shot rounds of 80 and 82 for a 162 and a tie for 31st.
Caiya Dewitt (Zeeland, Mich./West Ottawa) fired rounds of 86 and 77 for a 163 total.
The Flyers wrap up the fall portion of their schedule at the Tulsa Cup hosted by Rogers State (Okla.) next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 25 and 26) at Meadowbrook Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
