ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) recently announced that Lewis University men's golfers
Cole Elmore (Salina, Kan./Sacred Heart) and
Hunter Pipik (New Berlin, Wisc./New Berlin West) were named to the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Team.
Elmore, an unmanned aircraft systems major, finished the year with a 3.27 GPA and had a scoring average of 77.3. He posted a season-low round of 69 in the second round of the McKendree Dual Gender Tournament last October. Elmore had two rounds under par and a top-10 finish. Pipik, a business administration major, had a 3.20 GPA and a scoring average of 77.0. He posted a season-low round of 71 in the second round of the Battle at Blackthorn event last September. Pipik had two rounds under par and a top-five and top-10 finish.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 78.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. In addition, they must participate in 40-percent of his team's competitive rounds and must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
