ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University women's golf incoming freshman Kendall Farm won the 42nd Illinois State Junior Girls' Golf Association Championship on Wednesday (August 4) at Aldeen Golf Club in Rockford, Ill. She recorded a two day total of 145 (72-73).
Farm was tied with Addie Dobson of Jacksonville, Ill., after 36 holes resulting in a playoff. Farm won the title on the first playoff hole with a birdie.
Farm shot a one over par 37 on her front nine on Wednesday recording a birdie on the eighth hole. She began her back nine with a birdie on the 10th hole. Farm had a bogey at 12 before finishing strong on the last six holes recording five pars and a birdie on 17.
In her opening round on Tuesday, she recorded three birdies and five pars on the front nine to shoot a 34 at the turn. After a rough start on the back nine she once again finished strong with a birdie-par-par finish to shoot a one over par 73 in the opening round.
