ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Three former Lewis University men's volleyball players are continuing their playing careers abroad, as
Ryan Coenen (Franklin, WI/Franklin) and
Dalen Instenes (Racine, WI/William Horlick) begin their professional careers while Greg Petty begins his seventh professional season.

Dan Friend has now mentored 13 professional players, including this trio along with BJ Boldog, Mike Iandolo, Jay Petty, Trevor Weiskircher, Bobby Walsh, Scott Fifer, Eric Fitterer, Mitch Perinar, Julian Moses and Matt Yoshimoto.
Coenen, who finished his Flyer career ranked third in kills (1,657), attack attempts (3,621) and service aces (145) in school-history, has signed with BBTS Bielsko-Biala out of Karbowa, Poland in the Tauron League.
Instenes will suit up for Floby VK in Floby Sweden. Floby VK was founded in 1962. Instenes appeared in 71 matches during his career at Lewis recording 186 kills and hit .225.
Petty, who begins his seventh professional season, will suit up for Club Voleibol Teruel in the Spanish Super League. He finished his collegiate career ranked Lewis' Top 10 for service aces (3rd, 121) and kills (10th, 972).
