ADDISON, Ill. - The Lewis University men's bowling team placed 47th out of 68 teams Sunday (Jan. 17) at the Tier One Illinois State Bowling Proprietor Association/Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic at Stardust Bowl. The Flyers had a two-day total of 8,341.
The Flyers opened play Saturday with five traditional games. They shot games of 952, 828, 938, 947 and 971 for a 4,632 total. They came back Sunday with high games of 226 and 214 in baker play to finish 20 baker games with a 3,705 total.
St. Ambrose won the tournament with a 10,021, while SCAD-Savannah was second with a 9,773 and Wichita State was third with a 9,644.
Individually the Flyers were led by
Eric Wesel (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central), who shot a 988 over five games.
Cody Gleim (Joliet, Ill/Plainfield South) added a 948,
Tim Hoak (Lockport, Ill/Lockport) shot an 888, while
Evan Hartke (Channahon, Ill/Minooka) had a 695 in three games.Â
Lewis is back in action Saturday (Jan. 22) in Addison for the Storm Baker Classic.Â
