JACKSON, Mich. - The Lewis University men's bowling team placed 12th of 21 teams Saturday (Feb. 12) at the Scotty Classic at Jax 60 Lanes. The Flyers finished the tournament with 6,620 pins.
Lewis was led in the tournament by
Eric Wesel (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central), who shot a 789 over four games.
Cody Gleim (Joliet, Ill/Plainfield South)Â added a 785 in four games, while
Steve Plane (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) had a 704.
Evan Hartke (Channahon, Ill/Minooka) shot a 565 in three games,
Jawuan Burks (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) rolled a 334 in two,
Tommy Martini () had a 325 in two and
Sean Scaglione () added a 154 game.
The tournament consisted of four traditional games followed by 16 baker games. Concordia University won the tournament with a 7,666 total, while Aquinas was second with 7,642 and Spring Arbor was third with 7,345.
The Flyers now wait to see if they qualify for postseason competition.
