LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced the NCAA Division II Team of the Week on Tuesday (Feb. 15) afternoon and Lewis University's
Nolan Dalep (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada/Claremont Secondary School) and
Peter Carlson (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South) earned spots on this week's squad.
The USILA honors 10 student-athletes in Division II each week throughout the season as Team of the Week award winners. The Flyer duo led the team to an 18-6 win over Wheeling in the Flyers home opener on Saturday (Feb. 12).
Dalep recorded career-highs in points with eight and goals with six in the win over the Cardinals. He scored three goals each in the second and third quarters as Lewis rallied from a first quarter deficit.
Carlson went 19-for-21 in the face-off circle and was 16-for-16 in the first half. He went 10-for-10 in the second quarter and keyed the Flyers as they outscored Wheeling 9-0 in the frame.
This is the second career Team of the Week honor for Carlson and first for Dalep.
No. 17 Lewis is back in action this Saturday (Feb. 19) as it travels to Erie, Pa., to take on No. 6 Mercyhurst at 11 a.m. (CST).
