ALLENDALE, Mich. – Lewis University's women's track and field team wrapped up the second day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday at the Grand Valley State Lacrosse/Track and Field Stadium in Allendale, Mich.
Arianna Amill-Ramos (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) was the highest finisher for the day as she finished 11th in the final of the steeplechase with a time of 10:38.64.
Alecea Cardillo (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) took 12th in the triple jump with her best jump coming in her final attempt as she hit a mark of 12.19 meters (40'0").
Natasha Bernett (McAlpin, Ill./Lane Tech) competed in the prelims of the 100 hurdles and finished 14th overall with a time of 14.13 seconds. She finished fifth in the first of three heats but her time wasn't fast enough to qualify for Saturday's final.
The Flyers wrap up their season on Saturday with the final day of competition at the Outdoor Championships.
Aliza Van Den Elzen (Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville) will compete in the javelin at 12:30 p.m. (CDT).
