INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA has announced that senior Alecea Cardillo (Plainfield, IL/Plainfield North) qualified for the NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships in the triple jump. The meet is scheduled to take place from March 10-11 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.

Cardillo recorded a 12.13 meter mark for the triple jump at the Pat Hennan Invite at North Central College on Friday, February 18, which qualified her for the championship meet. 

This marks the third straight time that Cardillo has qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships as the senior made it during her sophomore and junior seasons in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
