AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators announced its 2023 Women's Volleyball Academic All-Americans Tuesday (Jan. 9) with Lewis University senior Bella Ray (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet Catholic) being named to the list of honorees as a third team selection.

Ray played in and started 25 matches for the Flyers this season, recorded 268 kills with a .347 attack percentage and led the team with 106 blocks. The Plainfield, Ill. native is majoring in middle level education, and also earned first team All-GLVC honors, an honorable mention for both AVCA All-Midwest Region and All-American, and Academic All-Region honors.

This is the second Academic All-American honor for Ray, who also earned a nod from CSC in 2022. She becomes the second Lewis women's volleyball student-athlete to earn two Academic All-Americans, joining Jamie Poppen, who was honored in 2020 and 2021.
