WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The Lewis University women's bowling team had three All-Great Lakes Valley Conference Team representatives, the GLVC announced Thursday (March 21).
DeAlani Fishbeck (Lawton, Okla./Lawton) was named to the Second Team, marking the third year she was an All-GLVC selection.
Carolina Alvarado (Metepec, Mexico) and
Erica Lohr (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) were both named All-GLVC Honorable Mention.
Fishbeck, a honorable mention selection the past two years, averaged 19.69 pins per frame in traditional play and 19.13 in baker. She struck on 47.9 percent of her shots, filling 81.3 percent of her frames and has an 86.5 single pin spare percentage.
Alvarado earns her second consecutive honorable mention selection with her first coming last year with Quincy. She averaged 18.35 pins per frame in traditional and 18.78 in baker. She had a 43.3 strike percentage, an 80.7 fill percentage and an 86.2 single pin spare percentage.
Lohr, a first time honoree, posted a 19.03 traditional average and an 18.7 baker average. SHe struck 40.2 percent of the time, leading the team with an 82 percent fill percentage and added an 87.6 single pin spare percentage.
Katharine Svehla (Elmhurst, Ill./York) is the Lewis honoree for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship award.
The Flyers will open tournament play Friday morning as the No. 5 seed, facing No. 4 Central Missouri at 8:30 a.m.
