Dan Friend unveiled the team promotional schedule.
On Jan. 13, the Flyers will have their home opener against Roosevelt while hosting their annual First Responders Night. 10 days later against Quincy, fans can come early to snag a home schedule postcard with limited quantities available.
Against top-five nationally ranked Pepperdine on Jan. 24, men's volleyball will host its annual club night and Cal's Angels. The Cal's Angels organization is a A 501(c)(3) pediatric cancer foundation dedicated to granting wishes, raising pediatric cancer awareness, and funding research. Support us in our mission to bring hope and help to children battling cancer and their families.
Against UCSD a week later, the Flyers will have their annual sign night followed by their red out game on Jan. 31 versus Manhattan.
The Ohio State comes to town on Feb. 26 with men's volleyball hosting their black out match and Fly As One contest. The next day, it will be fan theme night against the newest MIVA member, Northern Kentucky.
March begins with a white out match against Purdue Fort Wayne on the fifth, followed by 80's night & alumni night against Ball State on March 7.
The men's volleyball program will host their annual Rae Strong Foundation match on March 26 against longtime rival Loyola Chicago. In 2018, The RaeStrong Foundation was created as a means to help provide support for individuals and families in similar situations. Dan and Lorelee are working to build an environment that fosters the incredible atmosphere that was given to them where any family with a micro-preemie can feel the hope and joy that comes with a miracle happening in front of you. Through the RaeStrong Foundation grants are awarded to individual families, hospital NICUs and preemie supporting organizations on a yearly basis.
The Flyers will host high school night on April 2 against Lindenwood before facing McKendree on April 4 for senior day.
