INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its 2025 Golf Postseason Awards Monday (May 12) as Lewis men's golfers
Ty Doty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) and
Cody Donovan (Cedar Lake, Ind./Hanover Central) were awarded All-GLVC Honors for their performances on the links this season.
Doty finished his season Saturday at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship-Midwest/Central Regional Saturday, finishing in 36th place. The junior finished tied for 14th place at the GLVC Championships after shooting a 220 (+4), helping the team to a third-place finish.
Doty recorded 183.40 total points and an average of 27.06 points. He shot three-under par during the Malone-Glenmoor Fall Invitational, which helped him to a second-place finish and contributed to the team's win of the invite. Doty also placed in the top 15 during six of the events, including a top-10 finish four times.
Donovan led the Flyers after winning the individual GLVC Championship, shooting a 210 (-6) for the event. The senior helped Lewis record a third-place finish at the GLVC Championships.
He recorded 122.16 total points in eight total events for an average of 14.47 points per event. Donovan recorded three top-15 finishes throughout the year.
Doty was named the Lewis Men's Golf James R. Spalding Sportsmanship honoree while
Cassidy Virzi (San Pedro, Calif./Palos Verdes) was named the women's golf honoree.
