ROMEOVILLE, ILL. – Head men's volleyball coach
Dan Friend announced his newest signing class ahead of the Flyers 2026 campaign.
"We are excited about this talented group of young men joining the Flyer Family," Friend said. "We know they will all make their impact on the court and in the community!"
Benjamin Boron (Grayslake, Ill./Grayslake Central) – This past year, Boron was named all-state first team, second team All-American, Northern Lake County Conference Player of the Year and Grayslake Central Male Athlete of the Year. The three year letterwinner was named all-conference three years in a row at Grayslake Central and led the Rams to back-to-back conference championships during his junior and senior year. Boron ended his prep career with 1,141 kills, 139 blocks and 80 aces.
Kyle Chapman (Sugar Land, Texas/Stephen F Austin) – Chapman joins the Flyers after a senior campaign which saw him earn team and league MVP and lead Stephen F Austin to an undefeated season where they dropped zero sets. On the club scene, Chapman was a U19 Beach National Team alternate the past three years and a NTDP Training Series attendee. He also collected a third place finish at the USAV Beach National Championship in 2023 and at the 2024 Showcase 17U Open.
Ian Schuller (Downers Grove, Ill./Lindenwood University) – During his three years at Lindenwood, Schuller was a two-time All-MIVA Second Team honoree and also earned AVCA All-American honorable mention honors in 2024 as a sophomore. Schuller led the Lions in 2023 and 2024 in kills per set at 3.48 and 3.60. This past year he played in 42 sets across 14 matches. Schuller had a career-high 26 kills and hit .632 against Maryville on February 1 as well.
Gauthier Brozak (Herve, Belgium/Institut de la providence de Herve) – Brozak captured the Belgian championship U19 title and placed fourth in the U17 division in 2023 with his club Waremme Volley. He also finished in second place at Belgian championship U19 in 2024 with Waremme Volley as well. With Lindemans Aalst this past year, Brozak helped lead the squad to a third place finish in the Beneleague and fifth place in the championship.
Wyatt Jones (Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich) – Jones comes to Lewis after being named an AVCA High School All-American Second Team honoree and IVCA First Team All-State recipient in 2025. In his senior season, Jones led Lake Zurich to a 35-4 overall record and captured the regional championship.
