Lewis Women's Lacrosse Introduces New Assistant Coach Rosenberg

Romeoville, Ill. -  Lewis University women's lacrosse head coach Mariah Smith announced the hiring of assistant coach Claire Rosenberg ahead of the 2026 season.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Claire to our coaching staff. Having been coached by her myself when I was in college, I know firsthand the depth of her lacrosse knowledge and her ability to connect with players in a meaningful way," said Smith. "Her positive, upbeat energy is contagious, and she's going to be a tremendous addition to the culture we're continuing to build here at Lewis University."

Rosenberg joins the program from Israel Lacrosse where she was the director of women's lacrosse and head coach. During her time she oversaw the highest finish in Israel U20 Women's National Team history at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship. She tended to national development and coaching strategy for women's lacrosse across Israel while recruiting and mentoring coaches nationwide. She also was the assistant coach for the Senior Women's National team where she specialized in offensive systems, goalie training and creating team culture.

Before joining Israel Lacrosse, she was the girls regional director at true lacrosse where she directed specialty clinics for lacrosse. leadership, strength/conditioning and speed/agility. In addition she was the coordinator for recruiting and leadership development programs to help players better prepare for college. 

Prior to True Lacrosse she was the assistant lacrosse coach at Illinois Wesleyan University where she helped lead the team to consecutive NCAA Sweet 16 appearances while overseeing the year-round strength and conditioning of the program.
