Indianapolis, Ind. - After helping lead the Flyers to a 23-9 victory over Northwood last weekend,
Caden Donahue (Hugo, Minnesota/Mahtomedi HS) and
Carter Korzenski (Orchard Park, N.Y./Limestone) were named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.
It is the first GLVC weekly award for any member of the Flyers since
Domenic Tarello (Libertyville, Illinois/Libertyville HS) was named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week on April 14, 2025.
Starting in net, Donahue made 12 saves in 35 minutes of action while only allowing three goals in Lewis' 23-9 win over Northwood. The Minnesota native also snagged four ground balls in the victory as well.
On the offensive side of the ball, Korzenski tallied a game and career-high seven points with four goals, one coming on the man-up situation and three assists for the Flyers. The Limestone transfer nearly buried every shot he took as he had six total shots with five on goal.
The Flyers are back in action Saturday at noon against Walsh for their home opener.
